Chaya Walsh Interviewed
"My yoga is definitely how I live my life vs just a practice.
The body leads you in and slowly starts to unravel the emotion that is in the body that leads you to a sense of mindfulness. Being here in Arizona and on the Navajo land has been so prolific just from the energy the peace and the sense of community that’s already here. So there’s all those amazing things to do here, writing workshops, yoga, dance classes, but favorite was a jewelry making class with the Navajo, I was shocked at how much I enjoyed it!
You can be exactly who you are, but in a gentle way I think that’s really something we don’t get as much in festivals, is the gentle part. But that’s the entire breath of what Restival is – grounding, nurturing, it feels like a coming home."
